FLORA is an interdisciplinary media and design project of the Time-Based Media program at Mainz University of Applied Sciences. Its focus is the creative exploration of plants, ecosystems, and the interactions between humans and nature.
Through film, photography, audiovisual, and installation works, students investigate the hidden structures, movements, and habitats of the plant world. This process generates artistic perspectives on growth, change, biodiversity, and the significance of natural habitats in a changing environment.
The project combines scientific observation with creative research, making visible processes that often go unnoticed in everyday life. FLORA invites us to perceive nature anew and to question the relationship between humans, technology, and the environment.
